The Irish Society of Western Manitoba held their annual BBQ on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the Mills' yard just outside of Brandon. On March 16, 2019, the Irish Society held their 29th annual dinner to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

On March 17, the Irish Society held the 28th annual St. Patrick's supper. Entertainment was provided by Julianna Moore.

The Westman Multicultural Festival was held on February 1, 2, 3 in 2018 at The Clarion. Thanks to all the entertainers, volunteers and staff at the Clarion for the many contributions of time and effort.

Past: BBQ September 9, 2017:

The annual BBQ for the Irish Society of Western Manitoba was held on September 9, 2017 at Drew and Lynn's place. Weather and food were very good and entertainment was provided by Marcel Hapel who brought his banjo and fiddle.

Past: 27th Anniversary of the Society's St. Patrick's Celebration

On March 18, 2017 the Irish Society of Western Manitoba celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with supper and entertainment at The Clarion.

We were entertained by the McConnell School of Dance, Winnipeg and Brandon Divisions. David Naylor played piano before and during supper and Caitlin Baker and Larry Roulette provided fiddle and guitar music.

Thank you to all the volunteers who gave there time and to the staff at the hotel that made this event possible.

Past: 14th Annual Winter Festival

The Winter Festival had a new name this year but the warm welcome at the Irish Pavilion was the same as it has been in the past. Thanks to everyone that attended, entertained and volunteered. We hope to see you at our pavilion next year.

The annual BBQ was hosted at the Mills Residence with approximately 65 in attendance. The beef and company were excellent!

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 4:30 pm at Remington’s Seafood and Steakhouse located in the Town Centre, 800 Rosser Avenue, Brandon MB.

Past: 26th Anniversary of the Society's St. Patrick's Celebration

On March 19, 2016, the Irish Society of Western Manitoba celebrated St. Patrick’s Day for the 26th time.

After a wonderful meal at The Royal Oak Inn and Suites, we were entertained by the McConnell School of Dance, Winnipeg and Brandon Divisions and then Seamus O'jibway featuring Larry Roulette.

A generous donation of china was received from the Late Gordon Bagshaw which was auctioned off at the Celebration. Gordon was a society member for a number of years and volunteered at the Pavilion annually.

This event was a success due to the volunteers, support from local sponsors, the people who attended and the entertainment. Click here to see our 2016 Sponsors.

The Winter Festival had a new name this year but the warm welcome at the Irish Pavilion was the same as it has been in the past. The weather co-operated as it was mild outside for all three nights. Thanks to everyone that attended, entertained and volunteered. We hope to see you at our pavilion next year for Brandon's 14th Annual Winter Festival!

Past: Members' Fall Barbeque

The Irish Society of Western Manitoba held their annual BBQ on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the Mills' yard just outside of Brandon. Approximately 50 people enjoyed the delicious roast beef dinner along with an assortment of salads and an 'Irish cake' and ice cream for dessert. We lucked out with a beautiful warm day and everyone enjoyed the 'craic' and soaking up the sunshine.

We were expecially pleased to have special guests from Winnipeg's Irish Society of Manitoba including President Kieran Savage accompanied by three of his board members.

Members and guests were treated to a toe-tapping display of Celtic music by Matt Zimmerman on guitar and Grayson Ross on fiddle. Everyone joined in the 'kitchen Party' in the backyard until the sun was well down. Looking forward to our next BBQ!

The Annual General Meeting of The Irish Society of Western Manitoba was held at 4:30 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Remington’sSeafood and Steakhouse located in the Town Centre, 800 Rosser Avenue, Brandon MB.

After the meeting is over, members stayed for a meal (at the member's expense).
