Slot Loading Drive Vs. Tray Case
- I owned the top-loading McCormack Digital Drive SST-1 for quite awhile and while I have no idea if there’s any sonic advantage, the act of setting the CD into place, putting the magnetic puck on top and sliding the cover shut was a much more satisfying experience than pushing a button, dropping a CD onto the tray and pushing the button again.
- Insert this card into the CD slot, above the disc, press down, and pull the CD out. Strange-shaped discs usually work in tray-loading drives, but some slot loaders can also accept them.
You can print on the back side of printed paper. Flatten any curls on the printed paper and insert it into the paper drawer (Loading Paper in the Paper Drawer) or multi-purpose tray, with the side to print face up (previously printed side face down).

I was wondering how many people prefer Slot-Loading drives over Tray-Loading drives and why. This is because Apple uses a slot-loading drive on all Macs.
My personal preference is Tray-Loading because my try-loading drive can read 80 mm discs and if there is a power outage, I can retrieve my disc without having any trouble and put it to use in my laptop.
