Lake Hartwell Boating Club℠ is a civic-minded organization. Our programs are provided to the public to raise awareness of boating safety issues, provide specific educational opportunities, enhance safe boating practices and boat readiness and improve the accuracy of nautical charts (both paper and GPS maps). And for that reason, he keeps the entry fee for events, which raises money for Meals On Wheels-Anderson (S.C.) at an uber-affordable $85 per boat—and passenger tickets. Lake Hartwell Poker Run 2019

The Hartwell Lake Poker Run began in 2010, and has proven to be the premier lake event of the summer. Nearly 200 boats participate in a day of sun and fun on the water, and raise more than $50,000 each year to feed elderly, disabled and homebound residents of Anderson County.

To be in compliance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, the game will be played with the following rules:

  1. The event will begin with all registered participants leaving from the area near the dam. Boats will visit 5 designated stop locations on the lake to gather coupons. After stopping at each of the 5 locations, boats will return to Big Water Marina to see who will win the prize money. At the end of the day, the coupons collected at each stop will be exchanged for tickets to be placed in a drawing for the prize money advertised.
  2. For each ticket set purchased, registrants will be given a set of 5 tickets for the drawing. There is no limit to the number of extra ticket sets that may be purchased.
  3. Between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm boats will return to Big Water Marina to exchange their stop coupons for drawing tickets. There will be opportunities to participate in the “Poker is a Royal Flush” Olympics, including stick horse races, Hula hoop competitions and balloon tosses. Drawings will be held to award prizes donated by our event sponsors AND, vendors will be on site offering delicious food for purchase.
  4. At 7:00 p.m. Saturday, tickets will be drawn and prizes of $500, $750, and $1,500 will be awarded to lucky ticket holders.
