The Oglala Sioux Tribe Law and Order Code provision on Curfew Violations, which is set forth in Section 569 of the Criminal Offense Code, adopted by Ordinance No. 02-25 reads: A) It shall be unlawful for a parent, guardian or other person having physical charge or control of a minor to allow said minor to be away from his place of residence, or place where the minor is permitted to spend the night, in a public or private place or in a vehicle driving about, after the hour of nine(9) o’clock p.m. local time on school nights and ten(10) o’clock p.m. on all other days, unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or other person having physical charge, control of said minor are in attendance at or returning directly home from a organized school, church or Tribal/ public function. B) For the purposes of this section a minor is a person under the age of eighteen (18) years old. C) Any person, having physical control or charge of a minor, who violates the provisions of this section is guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor. OSTDPS: Curfew is at 9pm on school nights and 10pm on weekends, if your child (under

the age of 18) is caught out past curfew, you along with your child will be citing into OST court. If your child is picked up for any other criminal violations and arrested during the curfew hours you will be cited into court along with your child. Curfew sirens sound each night at 9pm on school nights and 10pm on weekends in all districts.
